BNI New York made a stop in Chicago to serve the Indonesian Diaspora though Remarkable Indonesia Fair.

The fair, which was hosted by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Chicago, was held to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of Indonesia – USA Diplomatic Relations and to promote trade, tourism, and investment of Indonesia. It was held in Lakeview Terrace, Navy Pier Chicago, on July 13^th, 2019 from 10 AM to 8 PM. In her opening remark, Consul General Madam Rosmalawati emphasized that RIF 2019 is the biggest promotion event of Indonesia in Chicago, which is currently in its 4^th year of being held. The fair successfully brought around 2000 visitors from Chicago and other Midwest states, including many of the Indonesian diaspora who came to enjoy the charms of Indonesia though its cultural performances, delectable cuisine, and many of the national products that are promoted in the fair.

BNI New York, as one of the sponsors of RIF 2019, also opened a booth to serve the Indonesian diaspora who would like to open a bank account with BNI, as well as learn about investing in Indonesia. The BNI New York team was able to meet with many of the Indonesian customers that are in Chicago and the surrounding Midwest region, and support the promotion of the Indonesian trade, tourism, and investment.
