Indonesian missions in Canada, Indonesian Embassy Ottawa, Consulate General of the Republic of the Indonesia Vancouver, and the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia Toronto, along with ITPC Vancouver and Indonesian Economic Working Group in New York wrapped up a two days joint meeting held on 20 - 21 February 2020 in Vancouver.

The meeting was opened by Consul General Tuti Wahyuningsih Irman and chaired by Ambassador Abdul Kadir Jailani. Attending the meeting was the Head Representative of BI New York, Dwityapoetra S.B.; General Manager of BNI New York, Aidil Azhar, Head of ITPC Vancouver, Robby Handoko, and Economic Affairs of KJRI Toronto.

In his opening remark, the ambassador highlighted the importance of Free Trade Arrangement (FTA) with Canada to increase exports from Indonesia. The discussion brought about various strategies and ways in channeling Indonesia’s economic diplomacy in Canada to bring both countries’ bilateral relations in trade, investment and tourism to unleash its maximum potential.
